Members of our H2M consortium visited partners in Liège and Paris:
The European-Japanese research group first met in Belgium as part of an international symposium on “Redox Signaling” and then traveled together to the Paris conference “The many facets of photosynthesis”

In the BMBF project “H2M”, teams from Japan, Belgium, France and Bochum are working together to realize fermentative H2 formation through protein design. At the end of May, the international members of the consortium convened at the University of Liège in Belgium to share their progress. In this context, a symposium on redox signaling organized by Prof. Rouhier (University of Lorraine) also was held. In addition to speakers from the Netherlands, Belgium and France, Anja Hemschemeier from our group also contributed a presentation. After the intensive exchange in Belgium, members of our working group traveled on to Paris together with our Japanese cooperation partner Prof. Genji Kurisu to take part in the international conference “The many facets of photosynthesis”.
